Looking Back at ASEAN Ports and Logistics 2026

Last week, our colleague Arno Logman represented Bemo Rail at ASEAN Ports and Logistics 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. During this international trade fair, he met with both existing and new contacts. He also discussed rail solutions for ports, terminals, and intermodal transport.

The week got off to a great start. Together with our partner YSLA, Arno visited a potential new customer. The customer is looking for either a locomotive or a winch.

The programme also included an extensive site tour. One of the highlights was a visit to the Port of Westports. Its 5.8-kilometre quay provided an impressive insight into the scale at which the terminal operates.

Arno also met with the BemoRel team and several international partners. These meetings focused on joint projects. They also explored ways to strengthen cooperation across the region.

After the exhibition, Arno travelled on to Singapore. There, he held follow-up meetings with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and other contacts. This provided a valuable continuation of the trip. Existing relationships were further strengthened. New opportunities for cooperation were also explored.

We look back on a successful week. A week full of inspiring meetings. Valuable conversations. And new opportunities for international cooperation.
